Di ka dapat manghimasok
Sa gusot ng maghihinlog;
Pag ang galit ay naayos,
Ibang tao ka ring lubos.
You should not meddle in the quarrels of relatives; when the quarrel is settled, you will still be an outsider.
Ang mahusay na pagsunod
Ay sa nag-uutos.
Willing obedience depends on him who commands.
Sumunod ka at nang ikaw ay sundin.
Obey, so that you will also be obeyed.
Ang mapanuyo’t magalang,
May masamang tinatakpan.
He who is obsequious and servile is covering up something evil.
Ang taong lampas sa gulang,
Di dapat pakitunguhan;
Ang iyong pagparoonan
Ay tatanda ka rin naman.
Do not dispute with an old person, remember that you will also become old.
Kapag bukas ang kaban,
Banal ma’y magnanakaw.
If the chest is open, even a holy man will steal.
Utos ng hari, hindi mababali.
