Ang Parabula o talinghaga ay isang maikling kuwentong may aral na kalimitang hinahango mula sa Bibliya. Ito ay maikli, praktikal at kapupulutan ng mga ginintuang aral.
A parable is a short simple story intended to illustrate a moral or religious lesson. It sketches a setting, describes an action, and shows the results. It often involves a character facing a moral dilemma, or making a questionable decision and then suffering the consequences. More often, the term parable is ascribed to the teaching method of Jesus Christ that appears in the Bible.
It differs from a fable in that fables use animals, plants, inanimate objects, and forces of nature as characters, while parables generally feature human characters. It is a type of analogy.
