Totoo kung tamaan.
Something said in jest often comes true.
Ang buhay ng tao’y
Gulong ang kahambing,
Sa ibabaw ngayon,
Bukas, sa ilalim.
The life of a man is like a wheel, you may be on top today, tomorrow, underneath.
Hanggang buhay ang tao ay may pag-asa.
While there is life, there is hope.
Itinutulak ng bibig
Kinakabig ng dibdib.
The lips deny what the heart cherishes.
Ang pag-ibig ay bulag.
Love is blind.
