noong lumaki ay Negro

Bahay ni Kiko,
Walang bintana,
Walang pinto.

Bahay ng prinsesa,
nabuksan ay hindi maisara.

without window,
without door)

(House of the princess;

Hindi tao, hindi hayop,
may korona

(Not a human being, not an animal,
but it wears a crown

Naligo si Kaka
Ngunit di nabasa

(Kaka took a bath,
but did not get wet)

Isang kumpol na ngipin
nakabalot sa papel

Tubig na sakdal linaw
Ay nadadala sa kamay.
