Three men are in the cemetery waiting for Lucas. They discuss their impending attack on the barracks and the church, which they believe is organized by Ibarra. Lucas arrives and instructs them to attack the church and the barracks, shouting Viva Don Crisostomo
. Elias, after following Lucas, learns about the attack that will implicate Ibarra.
